Friday the 13th is a 2009 American slasher film directed by Marcus Nispel and written by Damian Shannon and Mark Swift. It is a reboot of the Friday the 13th film series, which began in 1980 and the twelfth Friday the 13th film in total. Nispel also directed the 2003 remake of Tobe Hooper's The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974), while Shannon and Swift wrote the screenplay for the 2003 crossover Freddy vs. Jason. Friday the 13th follows Clay Miller (Jared Padalecki) as he searches for his missing sister, Whitney (Amanda Righetti), who while camping in the woods at Crystal Lake is taken by Jason Voorhees (Derek Mears).

Jass (Gippy Grewal) fall’s in love with Mahie (Mahie Gill) at a friends wedding, but she only wants to marry someone who doesn’t have a family and is an orphan like herself because she doesn’t want to deal with the nagging and interference of in laws post marriage. So to woo her Jass pretends he’s an orphan and she falls in love with him, but when she tells her brother he forces them to marry right away or else he won’t agree. So Jass marries Mahi without telling his father Advocate Dhillon (Jaswinder Bhalla), brother Goldy Dhillon (Binnu Dhillon) or his wife Diljit Dhillon (Anshu Sawhney). Now after marriage Jass tells Mahi to find them a place to stay and she finds a sublease room in Jass’s own home and that’s where the comedy of errors begins. Jass and his best friend Honey (Gurpreet Ghuggi) cook up several plans to confuse Jass’s family so Jass can live with his wife Mahi in his own home without his family ever finding out. But in between all this Honey marries his girlfriend Preet (Khusbhoo Grewal) in secret because his dad Inspector Sikhander Tiwana (B.N Sharma) won’t agree to his marriage but Honey tricks Preet’s parents into believing that she’s marrying Jass without Jass even knowing it. Hence a a madcap comedy of errors ensues and ultimately the outcome is a comically charged climax of marital mix ups.

The story revolves around Gautam Khanna (Saif Ali Khan), Veronica D’Costa (Deepika Padukone) and Meera Gupta (Diana Penty). Gautam Khanna (Saif Ali Khan) always had a dream to go to London and have a job. His dream is fulfilled and he gets a job. But his mom, Nita (Dimple Kapadia) says that she has to finalize his marriage to a girl and so he has to wait. She finds her perfect ‘bahu’ in Meera Gupta (Diana Penty). But she does not tell Gautam about this and tells Meera’s parents even to not tell Meera. She tells Gautam to take her friend’s daughter Meera as she has an assignment in London for 3 days. On the flight, Meera and Gautam befriend each other. In London, Meera has some problems completing her assignment and therefore fails to give it on time.
